As podiatrist it is our goal to educate the medical pediatric community that foot pain in children is not normal. At the Affiliated Foot and Ankle Center we work hand and hand with local pediatricians to inform them and educate them about different types of foot and ankle pathologies that we see in children. These pathologies include verruca, biomechanical abnormalities such as flat feet or high arch feet, ingrown toenails, and sports injuries. So remember foot pain is not normal in children. If they are complaining of pain, tripping and falling, or not participating in the activity he or she loves to do it is essential that they come in for a complete of evaluation to rule out any type of pathology that might deter them from their normal activity when they are adults.
